Frustrated because your website is broken or outdated? Wondering what you can do about it? Depending on the type of website you have, there are several solutions you might try.
First, is your website is essentially an online brochure for your products or services? You can go back to the original designer and ask them to fix your website. Say the original web designer is not an option. Then you can look for a new web developer who specializes in the computer language your website is built in (html, xhtml, etc.) However, if that is not an option, you can transfer the information from your original website to a new one. I recommend using WordPress.
Are you wanting to add more functionality to your current website?
Do you need the flexibility of writing about new products or services on your website? Would your business benefit from an online store for purchases? If your current website doesn’t offer you the ease of adding more functionality to your website, then you might consider moving to a WordPress website.
Find it hard to manage and update your website?
Consider having someone help you move your website to a WordPress website. Then ask them to provide you tutorials to help you be able to manage and update your website.
You need to research how you can move your website to a WordPress website and also make use of tutorials on the web so that you can do the work on your own.
If you built your website on WordPress
There are tutorials on YouTube and you can walk through my tutorials here to help you set up the additional functionality you need on your website. Or you can hire someone like me to help you add the functionality. Then ask whoever you hire to either hand it over to you to update, and add new content; or contract with them to keep your website updated, plus, then they can help you provide new material for potential clients throughout the year.
